I am the Founder of an AI-powered insurtech company in the London market launched at the University of Cambridge’s Accelerate programme and scaled through the Lloyd’s Lab.
Alongside my work in technology, I have spent over twenty years as a hands-on owner and manager of my family winery in Napa Valley, and co-founded NG Napa Valley: The Next Generation in Wine, a community supporting emerging leaders within Napa’s family-owned wineries.
As a Business Coach, I work with founders and next-generation family business leaders as they step into leadership, clarify their purpose, and build businesses grounded in meaning, legacy, and long-term impact.
My academic background includes postgraduate degrees in Classical Archaeology and Egyptology from the University of Cambridge, with contributions to cultural heritage initiatives at the British Museum and in Cairo.
Originally from California and now based in London, my work sits at the intersection of technology, insurance, and cultural heritage—driven by a commitment to thoughtful innovation and lasting change.
My Founder Journey
After two decades running my family winery in Napa Valley, I moved from California to England to pursue post-graduate studies at the University of Cambridge and reconnect with my lifelong passion for archaeology and cultural heritage.
When our homes were destroyed in the California wildfires, a difficult insurance claims process exposed a critical gap in how valuable and culturally significant assets are recorded, protected, and understood. Through my studies and a formative project with the British Museum focused on safeguarding at-risk heritage, that insight became a mission.
I founded Sotera to bridge technology, culture, and risk—bringing data-driven innovation to Fine Art, Specie, and High Net Worth insurance while advancing nonprofit initiatives that help museums and institutions better protect and engage with their collections.
I’m driven by the belief that technology can play a powerful role in preserving cultural heritage and creating meaningful, lasting impact.
